I just found out that my undergrad advisor endowed a fund at my alma mater so the Activities Board can hold a petting zoo for the students every year. 😍

Fourth real analysis homework: The ante has been upped. There's a coffee stain on each of the three pages in the same place, getting progressively lighter. And now he's using a duck with sunglasses and Einstein hair as his end-of-proof symbol.

The math is also good.

This is roughly how I handle it when students turn in unstapled homework. I tell them that I will of course staple their homework for them, but that I consider it to be a mere societal convention that there's only one staple and it's in the upper left corner.

Second real analysis homework: One of the students used the coffee stains package to put a coffee stain on the second and third pages -- identically placed but lighter on the third page to mimic an actual coffee stain. Well done, student.
