Obviously California has issues but this defense of their policies by Newsom is worth watching.

TN is a low tax state - for the top. regressive for the bottom. our services and laws punish working people also (bottom in infant & maternal mortality, poverty, school spending, violent crime, etc..)

I’ve been at 4 startups. Not once have i ever heard anyone say we we cant start a business bc of taxes.
If you want to compete you need gr8 public schools. You need to support and encourage diversity of ideas & exp. Support women’s bodily autonomy. Be a great place to live to attract talent.

it’s a bit disingenuous to say the wheels are falling off when they’ve never even been on for everyone who isn’t a white male. (not implying you said that) There appear to be tax remedies wrt stock options and perhaps more. Without progressive taxation, math wins.

Compound interest goes back to ancient Babylon. Stock options as incentive comp go back to the 1950s. Hedge Funds (& mutual funds) were created by the sec act of 1940. The money supply has no limit; no one is hoarding a finite resource. But we’re failing at sharing for sure. But we always have. 1/

The hardest thing often times is testing w/o breaking production.

But the ability to deploy up to date resources at TOD automagically is pretty great and most of that is without duplicating work or costs.
