That was a while ago! I’m 99% sure that it had a soundtrack as they had the bits with dialog. Had to have been a soundtrack.
This is an odd one. In a really good way. THE BLACK CAT (1934), tonight at 8:00 PM on #TCM. #classicmovies #precode #universalhorror #horrormovies
I saw it at #TCMFF 2012!
A good example of the drastic shift between silent & sound is the part-talkie Lonesome (1928). Pal Fejos' film showcases how far silent filmmaking had progressed. Lots of action shots, layering & color tinting. They retrofitted talking sequences which seem rudimentary in comparison. #SilentMovieDay

Oscar winner: Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen, Cameron Crowe, who also directed. A great cast. - this film is a delight. ALMOST FAMOUS (2000), tonight at 8:00 PM on #TCM. #classicmovies
My favorite Dracula film. It strips the story down to its basics and makes it move like clockwork. HORROR OF DRACULA (aka DRACULA, 1958), tomorrow at 9:30 AM on #TCM. #classicmovies #dracula #hammerhorror

protesting was awesome.

now it's time to make sure we take this energy to the ballot boxes in New Jersey and Virginia.

Mike Sherrill and Abigail Spanberger are on the top of the tickets and would make excellent governors.

vote blue all the way down.

talk to your friends and family.

let's win.

Remember. It's ok if you don't have a witty sign or a political t-shirt or inflatable costume. It's ok if you don't bring a cowbell. Just go. Be with people who are also doing this thing.
