She was following the rules & going through the process to get her green card

Someone working on behalf of ICE abused her.

She spoke out and was kicked out of the country.

It’s retaliation & it’s wrong

Except it didn't burst off the stands... or even make it to the stands. Dealers bought up all the copies & jacked the price to $20!

When the Howard comic strip was launched a year later, one of the Cleveland tv stations staged dramatic readings after the 11pm news! I never missed it.

Today is the birthday of writer, artist, & editor Larry Lieber, born on October 26, 1931, best known for writing the 1st appearances of Thor, Iron Man, & Ant-Man, drawing the Spider-Man newspaper strip, & serving as editor of Atlas/Seaboard comics.

Four comics written by him: Tales to Astonish #27, Journey Into Mystery #83, Tales of Suspense #39, and Rawhide Kid #81.
