Time to get outside & reconnect with nature & community.
Americans are spending nearly 1.5 hours less outside their homes in 2023 than in 2003. New research shows the pandemic accelerated a long-term trend of staying in. Does this sound familiar? buff.ly/jcHycII

Please protect Californians & our tax dollars from any frivolous DT lawsuits. Make him pay if he fights this.

Thank you to the CA SoS for running free & fair elections in California. 🙏🏻
Mamdani giddily shared those endorsements. He knew they were poison.
@governor.ca.gov Pls be sure to make DT pay for his frivolous lawsuits over Prop 50 and not us Californians! 🙏🏻

And yes, I’m foreseeing a litigious future as DT loses his head.
Whatever the f this means.

repeat that last line to yourself. this is enormously important.

"no longer would politics would be something that is done to us. now it would be something that WE DO"

ACTION. that WE DO. this is all real; this is all possible; this is all essential. let's DO THIS.

NEWS: MAGA Mike Johnson got ripped to shreds by Marjorie Taylor Greene on The View over the Trump and GOP shutdown, as Johnson continued to humiliate and debase himself with yet another morning press conference on Election Day.
Seriously @schumer.senate.gov? Time to retire.

If you voted for Cuomo, it’s no better than voting for DT.
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."
👀 Scoop: IRS Direct File, the free government-backed program that let you file your taxes for free, is dead.

IRS wrote to state tax agencies saying it would not be operational this coming tax season, per records I've obtained.

IRS Direct File: 2023-2025.

IRS tests free e-filing system that could compete with tax-prep giants
The tax agency has quietly built its own prototype system for filing tax returns digitally and free of charge, according to current and former officials.

Why wouldn’t a politician want to encourage voting and make it easier? 🤔

It’s annoying that Musk doesn’t bother to do his research before he says dumb stuff.

OTOH, DT saying wrong stuff about elections is an insult to America. And very concerning.

DT & Co are really really bad at this governing work. Like really bad.

As polls begin to close, remember: If you're in line to vote, STAY IN LINE.

If you are in line at closing time, you have the right to vote.

I’m sure there are many horror stories about sudden spikes in premium rates. This was totally avoidable and exactly why Democrats drew a hard line.

Any deal to reopen the government without addressing the health care crisis which Republicans have created is not a deal; it is capitulation.

This is who would be on the chopping block:
Protecting the heartbeat of America means protecting healthcare for each family – deserving of investment, not indifference.
Absolutely ridiculous that this was allowed to start. I’m in CA. I voted YES but middle decade redistricting with political bias is so damn undemocratic.
With this administration, we’ll never get to have good things.
The IRS is reportedly not offering its Direct File program next year. Here’s a look back at how TurboTax owner Intuit spent two decades fighting to prevent Americans from filing their taxes online for free:

(Published 2019)
Inside TurboTax’s 20-Year Fight to Stop Americans From Filing Their Taxes for Free
Using lobbying, the revolving door and “dark pattern” customer tricks, Intuit fended off the government’s attempts to make tax filing free and easy, and created its multi-billion-dollar franchise.

A thing you're not seeing if you haven't checked Twitter in the last week is all the political betting markets (Polymarket, Kalshi) are actively caping for Cuomo and spreading Zohran conspiracies on there. Usually this would be a cause for some sort of regulatory oversight but that no longer exists.

As I am one of the climate scientists he is referring to here - and I am a scientist who decided to dedicate her life to working on climate precisely because of how unjustly it disproportionately impacts the poor and vulnerable - let me clarify my rationale and thoughts below. 🧵
