An Abundance movement quickly formed around the book that seemed more interested in backing the moderate establishment wing in intra-Democratic party fights than they were in the book itself. (i.e. Ritchie Torres, Matt Yglesias, etc.)

Our number finally came up: our DOE grant to train energy economy workers and run training programs on building energy codes is on the termination list that leaked.

So many thoughts and feeling, but a big one is this: the long rollout timelines on IRA/IIJA was political malpractice

Free copy as in we send you a pdf for your use. Most often it’s b/c a Govt official (elected or regulatory) is considering an adoption or reference of one of the standards and they’d like a copy.

I work for ASHRAE so that’s who I meant by we. That’s wild. If we think there is like a chance that a comp copy gets an ASHRAE standard used, thats all the incentive we need to give a free copy out.

Storage in an apartment building for tenants. Built that way so people can lock their stuff in the cage and have it be kinda secure. I’ve lived in a few buildings that had those.

I’ve also always read that it’s super easy for ppl in the air to tell where the laser is coming from, and then send a cop there; easy to get caught. Is that right?

So Kilmer Abrego-Garcia will not challenge a deportation to Costa Rica, who has agreed to for him residency, but DHS won’t agree to send him there because it’s not cruel enough.

For weeks, Mr. Abrego Garcia, a Salvadoran national who is married to a U.S. citizen, has made clear that he would not challenge his deportation if he were sent to Costa Rica, which has promised him legal residency and guaranteed that he would not be sent back to El Salvador.

But the Trump administration has refused to deport him to Costa Rica, and in an earlier hearing this week, Judge Xinis pressed the administration to consider the option or clarify why it was unacceptable.
