It's kinda nuts how many teachers/folks in education have drank the kool aid. Even if you set aside ALL of its moral/ethical/environmental problems, its literally anti-learning. You're teaching someone to be dependent on a program to think/be creative. It literally makes people less skilled & worse

I came to him once saying “I feel so lost any time I start a painting, like I just don’t know what I’m doing and how to approach it. He literally said “I feel like that when I start a new painting too!” … that was it. 🫠 On top of that he had an ego

While there is some value to teaching one to “trust your gut” if that is the answer given for any question in an art class, that teacher is… not great at teaching. I had a few of these teachers in art school and they suck. I practically begged a painting teacher to teach me something and he couldnt

I had a dream where I was basically walking through a gauntlet of super socially awkward people who I don’t want to talk to (real people & imagined), & they were all overly interested in me & asking way too many questions. Gotta hand it to my brain, always inventing new ways to make me feel crappy!
