if all the other useless advice you get from people fails to help, my useless advice is swimming got my pain to go away. Cause is a bad disc between lumbar and sacrum vertebrae. Can't fix that, but have managed to make it not hurt by freestyle swimming for a few weeks.

At the very least a language with exceptions should require function signatures indicate what can be thrown! But then you are a half step to just having a tagged union !

Went through a long interview process, two live coding interviews, then a system design interview, daily communication. now nothing for 2 days. Anxiety levels at 9,000! Seemed like interview went really well!

I first saw them built in when learning F#, and then Rust, and now any time I'm in a language without I cry a little.

null pointer exceptions go away, they can replace exceptions, and they are just a natural thing you want all the time.

For a long time Java lacked sufficient control over memory layout for it to be a great choice, and now the C# ecosystem has 3 great options for engines with Monogame, Godot, and Unity. Hard to catch up.

for example today my heart rate meter didn't work for an hour, so the training load is all wrong. only way I can manually fix is to create a manual ride, and figure out a duration and perceived effort that would approximate the missing data, but then my time spent riding for the day is wrong.

which is necessary when things go wrong with sensors. You can't freely export data, if you pause a ride on accident on your device and forget to turn it back on the data is irretrievably lost.

so yeah, better off with training peaks or golden cheetah I guess.

Well I gave it a try for a while but @Strava is simply not acceptable for any serious training work. The fitness metrics are opaque, the math needs to be published. You can't edit an activity to manually adjust things like heart rate or relative effort

Most non modern youtubers sucked, most of any category sucks. It is almost tautological. In a set of things, there will be a bell curve of quality, and the bulk will be in the suck range.
