yeah but this is a curated placeholder thing that the devs put in that has 3 options - 2 of them are reasonable (recent release and forever game)

the third is a 2023 title that i don’t think is especially notable other than being born from toxic IP. certainly feels like an intentional statement

i finally searched it and the result is pretty incredible. i guess bc it was a Wii game originally you could shake the controller to use this ability, but if you have a third party Switch controller it can mistake the vibration (which amps up when Super Inhale) as input to keep doing it

I get stuck inhaling when I try to inhale the large grey star blocks. How can I stop this?
Whenever I try to inhale the large grey blocks, kirby gets stuck in the inhale animation until he: swallows a food item, an enemy, or another player.
Checking on Reddit, others who have experienced this issue seem to all be using a third party controller, however, I also got this issue happening on my joycons as well (though I mainly use a third party, Gulikit Kingkong 2 Pro due to drift).
One of the Reddit users found a solution that worked for them, which was to hold the B button for a second or two, however, it did not seem to work with me. Does anyone have ideas and/or a solution?

Try shaking your Joy-Cons as you're inhaling them. Maybe that might solve the issue.

Hey, I'm using an 8BitDo Ultimate controller, and I was having the same issue you have. But I figured it out. The rumble and the motion controls don't play nice with each other. You can shake your controller to go into super inhale mode faster. But since super inhaling also produces rumbling on your controller, it basically tricks your controller into thinking that you're shaking it yourself, causing you to stay in super inhale mode until one of those stops. You can easily solve this issue by disabling either rumble or motion controls on your controller. I don't believe you need motion controls in the Switch version: they've kind of made it

did pretty much everything worth doing in Forgotten Land so i picked up Return to Dreamland Deluxe

and for the first couple times i played i was so confused by the Super Inhale ability. i’d start it and just could not figure out how to stop it, to the point i’d keep dying on autoscrollers

been playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land while the kid watches and they are completely obsessed with Kirby now, as expected

i bounced off this one when it came out so it’s been nice to come back to it with the Switch 2 upgrade (tho i couldn’t tell you if it actually looks that much better lol)
