Part of the US leaning into fascism was kicking all of us artsy weirdos out of the rooms where decisions get made.

In the 90’s, even chain spots had design elements. Wendy’s was basically a greenhouse & houses didn’t look the same. Now everything is a gray box & quirks can be had for an upcharge.

It's a little crazy that for the first time in 20 years, I could not give a shit less about a Pokemon game.

I don't want to yuck anyone's yum, but it's insulting that they want to charge $70 for a title that looks this bad, while expecting us to dump more money on DLC to get the full experience.

I don't really feel like celebrating *any* holiday since the election. I'm in survival mode; people are being snatched up on the street and disappeared and I'm seeing it all happen in real time on the tiny pocket computer.

There's nothing worth celebrating in fascism.

I'm in such a weirdly functional state of depression lately to where it feels like my body is just in auto-pilot. I'm going to work, maintaining my house, going to the gym, seeing friends, etc.

But then it's like, "Hey you wanna put up Halloween decorations!"

Seriously though - read up on Ettore Boiardi. He is legitimately *the* GOATED Italian worthy of praise.

Dude moved to America at 16 and worked his way up to being head chef at the Plaza Hotel.

He created cheap and easy Italian meal kits for families during the depression...

Whenever I think of fun and whimsy, I remember Porco Rosso - a movie about a pilot who self-curses himself to look like a pig because he's lost his faith in humanity and is actively on the run from fascists because he wasn't into the fascism.
