The biggest uncalled election is the SEATTLE mayoral race.

Mayor Bruce Harrell leads Katie Wilson by 11,183 votes (or 8.2%), with 137K ballots counted.

Why is this not over?

Here's what we know. ⬇️
I hate this. Progressives sweeping everywhere except Seattle mayor.

mine eyes? seeing the glory.
the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored? trampled.
the faithful lighting of his terrible swift sword? buddy, you better believe that's loosed.
oh it's the magic schoolbus lady
Canvassing for Katie Wilson and a crusty old guy says "She never even ran a kindergarten! No experience!" Yes, Bruce Harrell does have experience, and he's still done a shitty job. Hope that helps.

Honestly really important for the next democratic administration to end QI for ICE and BP
The movie you want is the City of God.

ok I’m kinda not gonna lie, that particular guy (yeah, I’m sure he has fucked up views, etc) is someone I kind of have a weakness for because he’s so weird and apparently sincerely committed to actually living in dying towns. Like he’s oddly endearing.
I can appreciate anyone who practices what they preach (for the most part).

Experience being bad at your job doesn’t count.
Bruce Harrell's biggest selling point is his "experience," but these Seattle city employees want you to know that the price of this experience is too high, and Seattle can't afford to pay it anymore.
Guest Rant: Seattle Has Paid the Price of Bruce Harrell’s “Experience”
Three city workers have had the full "Bruce Harrell experience." They're done.

This sounds extreme, but is basically what many anti-homeless activists here in "blue" Seattle are advocating for: Involuntary commitment for homeless people with mental illness that manifests in visible symptoms, mandatory "accountability" for addicts, eliminating visible homelessness ("tents").

I have talked to former Biden Administration officials who agree that Garland and the DOJ were appallingly slow in prosecuting Trump and his cronies. Justice delayed is justice denied, as we very clearly saw here.
Biden Justice Department slow-walked key decisions in Trump legal probes
The picture of a hesitant Justice Department runs contrary to the GOP allegation that the indictments of Trump were the product of a Democrat-led plot.

Over on Insta - @joemallahan.bsky.social has a video that should disqualify Harrell from ever being in office again.

We don't need someone who stands with abusers, time after time, and makes jokes to deflect responsibility for it.

Vote for Katie Wilson

Given the Link light rail's rapid expansion, Seattle now has the fastest transit ridership growth of any major US metro area, beating out the continued recovery of DC
Tied with Lieberman as the worst Dem senator of my lifetime.
Former US Sen. Kyrsten Sinema lobbies for data center developer at Chandler AZ Plan Commission. Says she's working "hand in glove" w Trump Admin & warns city to embrace DCs or face federal intervention. City Council vote on Sinema's DC scheduled for Nov. 13.
@wilsonforseattle.bsky.social let's do this in Seattle
NEW: New York City passed a reform in late 2021 to allow noncitizens with legal status to vote in local elections.

2025 was meant to be the 1st mayoral race with that reform.

But state courts struck down the law this year & @felipedlh.bsky.social reports on the would-have-been voters:

Wow, Mrs. High Roller over here spending past her $6k/yr budget.
paper is pretty cool, yeah, been hot for the past 3000 years or so
Anger is at the root of it? Median voter Joe doesn't want to please everyone, they want enemies. Pack SCOTUS, undo gerrymandering, tax billionaires, bomb Russia, dismantle ICE.
Democrats manage to reinvent these meme proposals every single election cycle AND NEVER NOTICE THEY DON'T WORK. It's astounding. Biden really did invest hundreds of billions of dollars into Rust Belt economies... and for his efforts was rewarded with searing unpopularity
by my count there are four vague proposals offered: national service, investing in rural communities, reform the supreme court, repeal citizens' united via constitutional amendment

one of these is profoundly important. the other three are memes.
I've been wondering this too. Tear up the roads to the ICE facilities, make them walk. Force them to use generators to keep the lights on.
I think the Dem governors and mayors can and should do more, legally and nonviolently. some ideas off the top of my head
- order DOT to close roads near ICE facilities
- conduct routine power and water maintenance to facilities
- mire them in endless legal knots
- refuse any support whatsoever

Thune: "If the Democrats had won the majority, they probably would've tried to nuke the filibuster. And then you'd have four new senators from Puerto Rico and DC, you'd have a packed Supreme Court, you'd have abortion on demand ... "
It would hearten me to see Dems bring some firepower and force down the doors when they get denied entry.
BREAKING: Sens. DURBIN, DUCKWORTH were just denied entrance to the Broadview ICE Facility in Illinois, unable to conduct constitutional role of oversight.
