Lucas fue siempre un mejor amante del cine que cineasta. Tanto a nivel performativo como a nivel de satisfacción personal.

Y si acaso él es una historia aspiracional de que nunca es tarde para salir de una relación tóxica.

Y que haya dedicado todo lo que le queda de vida y panoja a conservar las obras que le parecen importantes con lo de su museo de las artes visuales, sabiendo que el tipo es ante todo un nerdo del cine (que produjo a Kurosawa y fusiló a Riefenstahl en cuanto pudo) me llena de candor.

A ver más o menos lo hizo. De hecho la peli de aviadores negros en la segunda guerra mundial que codirigió con Anthony Hemingway fue más bien discreta. Lucas sólo llamaba la atención cuando hacía algo de SW o Indy. Ni Howard, ni Tucker ni nada más de lo que hizo.

A ver que lo entiendo. SW le costó a Lucas su primer matrimonio. Y luego las precuelas, en las cuales se involucró aún más sólo le ganaron el desprecio del fandom que se aferraba a las originales (y por ahí pasamos demasiados).

Normal que quiera poner distancia.

submersible expedition out to Titanic the previous year with the
