is it still "drawn and quartered" when they do it with five horses. it is drawn and quinted? road of empress is the only game to tackle these issues but it gives no satisfying answer

I used to play this on Game Boy Color and this version seems to be basically the same game but with a higher budget. That's a good thing, probably! You're recruiting armies and running around on a map. That's video games.

RPG set in a magitek 1930s New York. Leans HARD into the Noir stylings (full-VO monologue is a bit much IMO). Combat is grid-based and all drive-bys and shooting between cars, which is kinda fun. Heavy Disco Elysium influence on the dice rolls.

First up is Paraside: Duality Unbound. A grid-based tactics game where you're managing dual battlefields, with powers to swap between them. Hews closer to the "chess puzzle" end of the tactics spectrum, which isn't my preference, but it's a neat concept.

JRPG Game patch notes:

The Discourse Tree now reprimands* you when you commit physical violence to it, while under the effect of "Aura of Civility".

I also changed how Man's "Debate Me!" move works to make it a bit less universally powerful.

Genres aren't real. They are mental projections we impose on stories to simplify the way talk about and sell them but stories come unshaped from deep within us and writers shouldn't feel constrained by or even respect genres at all. The story comes first.
