I feel when freedom of expression/art is argued for, many people knee-jerk hear they have to like/accept art they hate or disgusted by

you are allowed to hate and block art you don't like or even find morally reprehensible. you're just not allowed to negatively impact an artist's freedom to make it

see i'm with you except that it's also worse than useless for code. i feel exactly this same way about using it for code, and as someone who is also a creative it makes me sad to see codes used as an opening concession like this.

while I acknowledge that LLMs do have some uses for stuff like “producing code with knowledgeable human supervision,” this perfectly reflects how I feel about using it for my own creative work
