Short intro: I am vegetation scientist and macroecologist, interested in biological invasions, impacts of Global Change on Communities and Ecosystems. Lately, I started to monitor vegetation succession in glacier forefields of four Northern Limestone glaciers.

In all places I "stayed", spent several days, the ones I visited where daytrips to go there. I stopped in, e.g., Serbia when changing trains in Belgrade on my way to Greece where I passed through Macedonia.

Another unknown birthday: Amongst the earliest recorded woman in #mathematics, Hypatia lived during the 3rd century AD in Alexandria, Egypt, which was part of the Roman Empire. 🧪🐡👩🏼‍🔬🧮 🔭 #histsci She was born at some time between about 350 & 370 & died in 415 C.E.
