olivia comes closer to the confused npc, whispering to him, “please don’t tell anyone about this but i’ve been smuggling cds from that nearby reco-“

olivia is then cut off as a police npc (off-screen) aims a gun behind her head and shouts “HANDS UP!! you’re under arrest for theft!”. olivia, realising she’s cooked, says “shoot.” under her breath.

Travel Diary 1

I managed to escape the underground a while ago.
Willingly staying in the pollution to then breathing fresh air.

Having the pollution in the air now reminds me that I'll never go back. I didn't know I could fight, could live free back then.

I get to define myself.
I get to be me.

So, happy #nationalcomingoutday.

This year is the 20th anniversary of me coming out, to myself and then to the people around me, and then the world.

Was that difficult at times? Yep.

But I have never, even for a second, regretted deciding to live as myself.

I’m unaffected by such comments since the person making them is a bad actor and their words are not to be valued. However, I’m deeply hurt by the reality that there are folks out there who think these horrible things.

Completely well intentioned comment? It can be hurtful, yes, and I’ll explain why to them and offer alternatives to use in the future, but otherwise, I’m all good and it’s no biggie.

Folks using marginalized communities for humor? All I can say is you better not be punching down.

My real life response was pretty much the same as in the strip, assuring them that no offense was taken and that I understood what they meant.

Intention plays a colossal role in whether or not something bugs me.

It finally got a kickstarted by a comment that a friend made to me recently, where similarly to Jack in todays strip, they said something generally kind and positive, but was phrased in a less than ideal way.

Our boy, formerly the “fake trans ally” is back and has a name! I like to think that Jack has the potential to be the ally he already imagines he is, so it feels appropriate to give him the space to grow.

Everyone has the capacity to be better people.

Thank You To Young Me

I used to catch myself being upset at little me for not doing much in regards to who we are, but as I age I realise that we were not in the environment to be able to do so so I thank them for being able to push through regardless
