To be fair to my straight brethren, a thing I hope to never do again, I recently read that the "step-" thing isn't because most men want to watch "step-" porn, but coz that's the content that's appeals the most to people who are more likely to pay for the premium account, so the algorithm pushes it.

Now that East and West Germany are being united into one country, the laws concerning transsexuals and sex change operations are being re-evaluated. East Germany scores higher on transsexual rights than West Germany, but East Germany's more humane laws may not prevail in the new reunited country. As it stands now in East Germany, men and women 18 years and older have been able to receive govern-ment-sponsored sex reassignment surgery, get married and adopt children. According to Professor Goerlich of East Germany, who spoke at a meeting on the subject in Hamburg, in two cases a transsexual mother gained custody of her adopted children after a divorce. Goerlich plans to fight to retain these more liberal laws in the future Germany.

Mexican telecom Telmex also transmitted unencrypted voice calls, the researchers found. The researchers further discovered that AT&T Mexico transmitted raw data over satellites that included users' internet traffic-most of which was encrypted with HTTPS by the apps or browsers they used —but also some calling and texting metadata. They also found decryption keys that the researchers believe could likely have been used to decipher other sensitive information the AT&T Mexico network transmitted-though they didn't attempt this.

For Mexican military and law enforcement, the exposures were far worse: The researchers say they found what appeared to be unencrypted communications with remote command centers, surveillance facilities, and units of the Mexican military and law enforcement. In some cases, they saw the unprotected transmission of sensitive intelligence information on activities like narcotics trafficking. In others, they found military asset tracking and maintenance records for aircraft like Mil Mi-17 and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters, sea vessels, and armored vehicles, as well as their locations and mission details. "When we started seeing military helicopters, it wasn't necessarily the sheer volume of data, but the extreme sensitivity of that data that concerned us," says Schulman. The Mexican military did not immediately respond to WIRED's requests for comment.

The hipocrisy is *extreme* wrt Palesrine, obviously, but it's hard for me to take most Usonian liberals seriously because their liberal principles stop applying outside their borders. Usonian exceptionalism is profoundly illiberal, and too many of them are very exceptionalist.

Basically my entire politics. I am interested in your liberalism if it's liberalism that takes liberalism seriously but I can't consider it to be such a thing if there is some racial exemptions made simply for the benefit of your preferred group in MENA. This is what liberalism in the US does.
