A part of me is like, "oh god I'm just going to be posting about transitioning nonstop, I hope I don't bore and alienate people" and then I remember that I'm CHANGING MY FUCKING GENDER. It's not like that week when I got obsessed with Robocop Trivia. It's kind of a major life thing.

I'm slowly coming to the theory that both James Joyce and David Foster Wallace had gender issues they didn't really deal with in healthy ways. See: te grotesque male-to-female transformations in the "Circe" section of "Ulysses" and the unpleasant fascination with trans figures in "Infinite Jest"

Unfortunately, my brain realized "trans fans of Wallace" can be sung to the tune of "Werewolves Of London" so now it's forcing me to come up with lines like

I got absolutely nothing out of it. I mean, I hated Holden Caulfield but I understood the appeal of "Catcher In The Rye." The story behind "Confederacy Of Dunces" is a million times more interesting than the actual novel.
