"i hope this site doesn't end up like the last one :("

Hope has nothing to do with it--DO YOUR PART!

Twitter & Truth Social are dying. Their users are used to farming outrage for engagement. Don't give them any!

🚫 Don't argue with them!
🚫 Don't quote them!

It's not anti-senior for me to say that a dude suffering from dementia should have the keys to the dang country taken away.

I felt that way with Biden too.

We shouldn't have to argue about this.
We can't expect the patient to ever accept that's why these tests are happening. Even if they do, they may forget and you could try again... but it's not worth the stress too you or them of living in that cycle.

Dementia ISN'T a normal part of aging. It can happen to adults too. I've watched it.
I am not a doctor, but I'm deep within this process with my loved ones.
An MRI is ordered by a neurologist in to collect clues as to why a memory might be failing. Could be a blood clot. Could be a tumor. In dementia a patient's brain shrinks as neurons stop firing and die.

It destroys their ability to think but it also eventually causes their bodies to lose function.
Yes hello I'm coming out of my cave to tell you that those tests described in today's news are for dementia.

I've watched my family take them and it's really upsetting and bizarre watching them struggle to do a test with questions they would have felt insulted by years before.

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

so many of the small indignities of daily life come from us being denied the ability to tell a rich man in a tech company to fuck off. minesweeper has microtransactions. paid services have ads. the opt out says maybe later. the drive thru is a broken chatbot. your car is an ipad. fuck off! fuck off!
Much respect for this pun

(and the art of course too!!! nice work)

working on a project in which I'm seriously tempted to take these "rad in the 80s but never quite since" shades and give them to a character who's never worn them before. and looking them up, the website lets you add them to your face.

you may not like it but this is what writing looks like

Admitting when you're wrong is good actually. You ought to try it. A simple "my bad" or "I misunderstood" does wonders for one's credibility.

Trans rights are not the rights of a tiny minority, trans rights are everyone’s rights to self-determination, control of our bodies, and a society where opportunity and aesthetics are not restricted by sex assigned at birth

You should support and defend trans people because trans people are people
