If you DO go for Marines, pick one of the obscure chapters.

You will have to work bloody hard to have the nicest Blood Angels or Space Wolves army at the gaming club. You will have a much easier time painting the nicest Mantis Warriors or Iron Lords.

I know WHY the CGI merging of faces with the rest of the scene is getting worse (tighter budgets where it matters, more willingness to put it front-and-centre, shorter deadlines), but I also continue to find it weird.
