I just dismantled the sweater I was knitting because I really wasn't vibing with how it was turning out and it kinda sucks to undo so much work but! I feel quite free and revitalized now and I'm hype to find a new pattern and start a new sweater. the blessed thing about yarn is you can reuse it!

The sea change of fandom to move from transformative works in private due to copyright lawsuits and queer rep to the hassling creators to enshrine any relationship stuff in canon has been weird (and ironic given IWTV's history specifically)

which is why fandom as a site of exchange between writers and readers/fans is also a site of contestation. some fans really seem to hate the creators of the thing they love, as if they resent their power to impose problems. even when they don't there's for sure a kind of jockeying that goes on

SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.
