My library hosted a talk with Percival Everett tonight. He was so funny and charming and incredibly smart. I stood in line to get my book signed, and our comms guy who was taking photos told Percival that I was one of the librarians, and he said “I thought you had a bookish glow about you.” 1/2

It’s pumpkin roll time! Our roll cracked a bit this year, but we tried Tillamook cream cheese for the filling this year, and it made the filling so good!

I’ve been a little disappointed because though Biro is cuddly in his way, he hasn’t really liked to sit on my lap…until I recently discovered he really likes to sit on me when I sit crisscross applesauce. Who needs functioning knees anyway!

I did my yearly mammogram this morning, so rewarding myself with a jelly filled donut from Guglhupf. So good. I didn’t pause eating long enough to get a shot of the filling inside.
