What is “cringe”?

Honestly it depends who you ask, but it’s used to shame people for something they like or for being themselves. Saying something is cringe is positioned as maturity, being “too cool” and therefore employing bullying tactics to make others edit or reduce themselves into the mainstream or “normal”.

But that’s not what maturity is

Maturity is understanding that “normal” is relative. That sports and music are fandoms too. That bullying is a reflection of one’s own insecurities. Maturity is also understanding that constructing a persona to fit the mainstream is really just a sad waste of your very limited time on this Earth.

So be cringe.

Because life is too short for us to bully each other out of our passions and authentic self-expression.

Here are a list of flowers toxic to cats as a former florist: Lillies, Lily of the Valley, Tulips, Crocus’, Azaleas, Hyacinths, Iris, Hydrangea, Mums, Amarylis to name a few

There are way more than this, Lillies have so much pollen especially if the stamens are in tact

Like yes, some days are the absolute worst. But I’ve found that not sinking into my misery has made me generally a happier person. does this bug people sometimes? Yes. But I am happier so their misery does not effect me

So something I’ve talked to friends about and also just therapist in general is my mindset on joy. I choose everyday to face things with joy and positivity because I found it did genuinely make me happier. Even when I’m having the worst day ever or the world is being itself, I try to find the joy

I truly don’t care how talented someone is, if you can’t facilitate a space that’s welcoming/contestant centered AND work professionally with other judges you are not ready to be a cosplay judge.

You have a job to do. And that job is as much about how you communicate as it is about what you know.

So, apparently, the company that owns the Big 4 sewing pattern companies (and Perler fusible beads among other brands) just sold those assets to a liquidation company. Those are the last printers of tissue paper sewing patterns AFAIK. Kind of crazy.
