If Pokemon was still $40 like it used to I tjink all this discussion wouldn't exist but that's way more to do with the death of dedicated handhelds and Nintendo thinking every game on Switch needs to be full price because it's a home console first with the suggestion of a handheld

MSRP discussion is a nightmare since, ultimately, it relies on the player. Like ToTK feels more like a $50 remix expansion than a $70 new game, but that's way more personal thing. Both Kirby games probably could have stood to be ~$40 imo but like I said, completely personal.

It’s so funny that the generation of people who told me CONSTANTLY in school that Wikipedia isn’t a reliable source are now among many of the same people who believe anything they read online and share AI generated slop. I’d trust Wikipedia more than anything to come from AI any day, it has SOURCES!

nobody would really bat an eye at Sony going "yes finally our gaames can be movies, the true art form" but the thing is Nintendo views video games as toys you play with and then move on, it's pretty clear how excited they are by by the ability to make film, too

In YGO a Spin (Shuffle into deck) isn't THAT bad of a thing because if you (miraculously) survive you can just search it back.

Meanwhile, in Digimon, Spins are functionally the same as Banishing because shuffling doesn't exist; so it's just sitting at the bottom of your deck until last turn. (2/2)

It's crazy how so much of TCG Balance is based on the effect of the cards themselves (as well as their surrounding cardpools) instead of any hard rules. The basic example is how variable "Draw 2" is, but there are other examples as well. (1/2)
