Lastly, you must be your own advocate and constantly pester your doctors to keep investigating the root causes and recommend specialists. Some will blow you off and just say, "Do some PT." I eventually lucked out and got a great surgeon who cared and really wanted to solve this dumb problem. 🙏

Got my first injection late August, and I felt much better within a week. After a couple of weeks, like 70% better. During the follow-up visit, I said where I still had some pain and my awesome doc said "let's do another I think I can fix that." The shots can last a long time, sometimes 5 yrs 🙏

The vertebrae compress the nerves, and the pain can happen anywhere. In my case, my upper back & right arm. No meds worked; the pain was sporadic, sometimes mild, sometimes brutal. If you have similar pain: get an X-ray > MRI > orthopedic surgeon > steroid injection. Surgery, if that does not work.

I have two compressed vertebrae near my neck that have caused some crazy bad nerve pain for the past 6 months. Just had my second steroid injection, which reduces the inflammation and the pain. Thankfully, it works! Sadly, the compression is from 30 years of bad neck posture while working, so lame 👍
