I did also wake up to see that Nic, my male regal jumper, had finally passed. :( He ate a couple days ago, so I'd been hopeful he was going to be around a bit longer, but I guess his age caught up with him.

I am so so glad I got over my bee phobia because I am already stressed enough and I cannot imagine how bad it would be if I was still in the "run screaming and stuff towels under the gap of my door to keep the singular bee in the house out while someone else deals with it" state I used to be

Hilariously in hindsight, we have cause a larger bee problem inside the house by having the hive removed for our peace of mind about not having bees in the house
I've lost count of how many I've caught and taken outside after he left but I think I've hit ten now

We also think there is a non-zero chance that there is a bee-sized gap around the skylight in my mom's bathroom @_@ It's watertight but not airtight from the outside (blowers push pine needles and dirt bits in), but likely some gap in the drywall and it's close to where the hive was
