Once again I ask activists and allies to watch this documentary. It's on Netflix in the US, find it where you can. It is so well done and shows you what we're fighting for.

When all is said and done

I want the upcoming protest to be successful. I want the streets flooded with white bodies in crowds so huge the media cannot ignore it.

I want the protests to exceed the 3.5%

I want the world to see Americans know America is worth fighting for.

I've wondered if they've finally figured out they're actually in the minority and that we're pissed and mobilizing. We're standing up, and they're noticing. They've taken us for granted for far too long.

I don’t think they thought people would rise up like they have, in multiple quarters. I mean, senate democrats standing their ground? Federal workers speaking out? Federal judges? Governors fighting back? Fear paralyzes. We are braving up, collectively. You bet they are upset. No Kings, my friend. ✊🏾

Do you folks have any answers? I really want to go but I don't know if I will feel well enough yet. I don't know if I will be non contagious yet.

I’m conflicted about No Kings this time. I went in June. Obviously I hate all this but…I’m having trouble seeing what it accomplished. Everything seems worse than it did in June. I’m not entirely certain peaceful protest matters any longer but I’ll be happy to be proven wrong.

Y'all, you know Rick knows what he's talking about.

🧵:

Last June, more than 5 million Americans joined #NoKings rallies across the country, protesting President Trump's authoritarianism. And this Saturday, with your help, it's going to be even bigger and better.

Random thought before trying to sleep: among the things I wish I had seen, aside from Hamilton in New York with the original cast, is Cabaret as done in Schitt's Creek, with that production, that cast, but entire.

He really said the Emergency Naked Bike Ride was the most threatening thing he's seen yet. He is just making Republican noises with his mouth, there is no conscious thought or awareness at work here at all.

over and over again I am encouraged by the way this guy reaches out to constituencies who aren’t naturally part of his coalition - not to pander for votes with changing views but to try to find common ground and work together on stuff he believes in

he’ll need every bit of that attitude as mayor
jamellebouie.net
we’ll see how his mayoral tenure shakes out but i am convinced that Mamdani has the juice. not just the charisma to win an election but the temperament to govern and the measured pragmatism of someone who genuinely believes what they’re saying and wants to accomplish real things.

I'm well enough to sit in the backyard and throw a frisbee or ball, and that's all that's demanded of me today.

Yesterday's heavy downpour here was a lot worse towards southeast Phoenix and Tempe. Heavy damage to a number of Tempe homes & buildings, numerous trees downed, and the Phoenix Zoo will be closed for two days for cleanup and repairs. (No animals injured, thankfully.)

Mike Johnson — man of deep faith, we are told — wants pastors to be shot in the head with pepper balls.
atrupar.com
Q: We've seen images out of Chicago of federal agents shooting faith leaders with pepper balls and arresting journalists. Where's the limit for you on what's acceptable conduct by federal agents?

MIKE JOHNSON: I've not seen them cross the line yet.
