In years past, my services included interviewing people and writing life stories as anniversary gifts, for example. Some memory books that people offer for sale actually derived their questions from mine. So you don't have to buy theirs, I offer mine for free:

The Navajo Code Talkers created an unbreakable code in WWII, crucial in battles like Iwo Jima. Their work remained classified until 1968, earning them Congressional Medals in 2001 for their heroism.

It's like they're personally attacking me in many things that they're doing. But what? Fresh hell is this?
Their job is to **identify American soldiers** killed in combat and Trump has told them to stand down and stop their work.

"Forensic genealogists who help identify U.S. soldiers killed in combat were told to pause their efforts..."

The women in my family continued.

Julia, 1896 Ohio, as editress of her newspaper Geauga County Record, speaks out against the Republican campaign of false pretense and Mark Hanna, McKinley's non-Union scab manager. ❤️❤️

#IAmAmerica challenge: Write part of your story in a few sentences that highlight your American story. I'll go first:
I am the first person on my mom's side and first woman on my dad's side to graduate from college. I used my career to help advance kids at-risk while I paid back my student loans.

Still true.

A suffragist pickets the White House in 1917. She notes the hypocrisy of a government fighting for democracy abroad while denying it to women at home. This tactic was effective back in the day when the US President espoused a belief in democracy.

It is clear that data critical to genealogy (and other disciplines) is being systematically stripped from federal websites. Census Bureau data IS being removed, and census data geeks at IPUMS verify and are taking whatever steps they can to preserve the data for the future. Scary times we live in.
The Person of the Year is often a bad person. Criteria is the one that jostles the news the most, not who is a good person. I wish they would call it something else.

Ever wonder how we got the Double Jeopardy rule? Plus this murder mystery was crazy! biographywriter.com/1855-1923-in...
