It's hard enough seeing someone you cared deeply about still alive after three centuries, but it's AGONIZING realizing you ended up on opposite sides of the playing field. Complicated doesn't even begin to cover this. Viktor can't even fathom it working out. Jayce is already workshopping on it.

So how about this. Werewolf Jayce, Vampire Viktor, but they knew each other before either was changed. They lost contact before being changed and assumed the other was dead, until their eyes meet across a room 300 years later. #jayvik (yes I'm already drafting it...)

Mel Medarda is the team owner, and she takes a chance on Jayce, who has only ever raced in county circuits, because he looked her in the eyes and said "it's not about the racing itself for me, it's about the science behind it" with complete honesty. His honesty outweighed his inexperience.
