Aged 10. Saving pennies for months for £8.10 to buy the White Album. Got to about a fiver. Got into posh school so mum subbed me the balance. Listened to it all in one go. Burst into tears of spooked regret. Now I’m 58 & know it’s a masterpiece, but have never fully recovered from that experience.
