Now I'm playing phone tag with the website technical support, which is making it extremely hard to work because my ADHD-addled brain knows it could have to stop what it's doing and instantly change gears at any moment and it does NOT like that.

I can't even change out a window in my condo without having to submit detailed plans and blueprints and a contractor work order to my HOA and having the HOA board vote on it, but we can just tear down the entire East Wing of the White House without any planning whatsoever. Sure. Why not. Fuck it.

A lot of the documents also asked for "start and end dates," even if there aren't really dates associated with the documents, and the ranges you were allowed to select from were not based on anything I could ascertain. So I just guessed on most of those.

And, like, I'm a patent attorney. I do computer shit for a living. And even I have no idea what is going on with my application. If it's confusing for _me_, I can't imagine what it's like for someone without a lot of tech knowledge.

Called the tech support number for the website to see if there was anything else I needed to do. Was sent directly to voicemail, not even given an option to hold for an agent. At this point I have no idea if my request is complete or even if I'm going to get any help to complete it if it's not.

Called the number for my servicer, talked to an agent. Talked to another agent. Gave second agent my information. Was directed to a website where I had to put in all the same information again. Was asked to upload documents, and I did, but then the website said my request was still incomplete....

I've been attempting all day to get a deferral on my mortgage while I go through cancer treatment, and it's just hammering the point home that not only are you of no use to anyone in power if you can't work, even temporarily, but they REALLY want to make sure you know that.
