Long exposure of the sand dunes that are close to where I live. They are amazing because every time I walk on them to photograph, they have changed.
This was a very windy day, I could not get too low otherwise I would have sand blow into my eyes and mouth - yum! 😂

Waves embrace the golden shore,
softly whispers forevermore.
Rocky cliffs stand tall and proud.
shadowed by a drifting cloud.

Sunlight dances on the sea,
a fleeting dream, wild and free.
Time dissolves in ocean’s sway,
as tides erase the steps of day.

A beautifully twisted pine I encountered on my way to Steall Falls back in 2021, waited till the return journey for better light looking down Glen Nevis. #Scotland #GlenNevis #FortWilliam www.damianshields.com

Light always prevails! A short lived moment of breathtaking beauty as a granite outcrop in Patagonia's Torres del Paine catches fire, in the endless struggle between light and darkness.

Foggy morning at Mt. Rainier. I like photographing in all kinds of light but perhaps get a little more excited about warm light through moving fog.

Beautiful morning light illuminates the Canadian Rockies' towering Mount Assiniboine as, ever so briefly, underlying rocks and pebbles show through before the winds pick up again.
