The math is MATHING and the results are IN. 📈 Working people stood up and sent a clear, powerful message at the ballot box.

Candidates who prioritize workers—like Mamdani, Sherrill, and Spanberger—won BIG.

The power of a united front is undeniable.

Let's keep this momentum!

Look, I just want it to be a functional map. I don't want or need all this extra shit. Is a straightforward and reliable map really that big of an ask?

The more I see people using "casted" instead of "cast" the more I realize that I am a grumpy old fart who only wants to see the language evolve in my preferred directions, nevertheless I will happily judge you for it if I catch you doing it, look, my dude, the accepted past tense is shorter okay

You ever get the feeling sometimes people intentionally use neurodivergent status to be terrible people to other neurodivergent people and operate under the understanding that only they can actually have autism , adhd or other brain stuff going on

OpenAI pirated large numbers of books and used them to train models.

OpenAI then deleted the dataset with the pirated books, and employees sent each other messages about doing so.

A lawsuit could now force the company to pay $150,000 per book, adding up to billions in damages.
Stock or stout instead of water. A bit of thyme. Much more than that and it's not going to have the same character.

The narcissistic injury must have been immense.
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

In a lengthy "60 Minutes" interview, President Donald Trump made false and questionable claims about nuclear weapons testing, inflation and military strikes in the Caribbean Sea. He also repeated numerous misleading claims he has made before on a range of topics.

The Texas ballot initiatives are written like:
"affirming parents are the primary care-takers for children"

Then you read the analysis and it's like:
"Critics argue that this initiative is tied to support for court cases where teachers will be imprisoned for mentioning LGBTQ+ issues in classrooms."

The failure of the “blue no matter who” crowd to rally behind Mamdani really just lays the reality of that position bare, doesn’t it?

Another thing (and so they should consider leaving me alone) is that this “we need to forgive people for what they said in the past to grow the party” owes a significant discursive debt to the MeToo backlash that has unilaterally sold the idea that “woke feminism” went too far.

About Teen Vogue,
I don't read or care much for a lot of mainstream media, but Teen Vogue is the only consistent non-Native media outlet that has always done an incredible job reporting on Native issues and giving our talent a platform to shine and not just to fill their "diversity" quota.

“If you’ve never been poor, you don’t know what it is to be poor,” Jackson said. “I hope that it turns around. I hope that people get their SNAP benefits, and I hope we just come together where we can love each other and feed each other and help each other.”
SNAP benefits cut off during shutdown, driving long lines at food pantries
Long lines have formed at food pantries across the U.S. as federal food benefits were cut off due to the government shutdown.

One political party supports children being zip tied, the other supports children being fed. Choose wisely.

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"
