And now, on YouTube, it's the first chunk of #DoctorWho and The Paradise.... of Death!

www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

It'll be uploaded in three chunks, with today's chunk just covering the first episode.... mainly so I can actually end the upload chunk on a cliffhanger!
The Paradise of Death - YouTube
An unofficial and unabridged reading of Barry Letts' novelisation of his 90s Doctor Who radio drama The Paradise of Death. It's got a lot of subtle differenc...

They eat up all the social time of any one who's stupid enough to get near them?

The Doctor and Susan both tried to leave Gallifrey six or seven times before finally being succesful. Each time they were caught, the Time Lords gave them a new set of false memories to make them forget they'd already done it, hence there are so many conflicting accounts of their departure.

Tell me your most unhinged Doctor Who opinion. I mean, if you’re a fan, they’re likely all unhinged anyway.

The original episodes of Doctor Who were made by the Tribe of Gum in 100,000BC in the form of shadow puppets, but the series was cancelled thanks to an over enthusiastic performance of Alpha Centauri

"You were fine yesterday."

And doing something yesterday is why I feel like this today.

I don't think Jesus is up for being the whore with you :D

If the 3rd Doctor regenerates on Dust, then theoretically that means the 4th Doctor goes up against the spiders in Planet of the Spiders. So does that Doctor also regenerate at the end, meaning it's the 5th Doctor that ends up helping UNIT with the Giant Robot? What actually changes?

It's not "signed", doesn't end with "thank you for your attention to this matter" type wording, no block caps.

We were owed at least one or two "PDA" style books looking at the effect of the 3rd Doctor regenerating on Dust... Who dealt with the spiders/robot?

Time for some new editions to be released then :D

And made huge changes to Who that he then "walked away from" and were never really explored again.

You just made something of mine stir as well!

Crack watch - this week the cracks are things you can walk through and look through with no ill effects whatsoever.

My all time least favourite "new Doctor" episode/story. 5/10

And let's not get into what would happen to the earth if, suddenly, every GPS signal died for 5 or 10 minutes and every computer on the planet went weird in that time (a global catastrophe that RTD usually saved for finales). It's overly sexed up (literally) and Smith is just a teenage 10th.

which starts the new Moffat tick box of "event the whole universe know about but the Doctor is clueless about". Random appearance of Ood in the "Earth is defended" scene. And a huge global event that seemingly no one will either refer to again or go "oh no not again" about when the sky goes dark.

aunt, a town that has a surprising need for kissograms (Amy can afford how many outfits?), awful CGI and green screen with Amy and Prisoner Zero in the hidden room. Oh yes, Prisoner Zero seems to know that the Pandorica trap will fail and knows about things that happen after the universe is rebooted

people walking past display boards that suddenly start displaying 0000s but not a single person seems to notice, utterly impossible time lines, the Doctor being more of a smug genius than ever before by doing utterly impossible things, a timeline and a geography that makes zero sense, the absent

#nuWhoThru The Eleventh Hour
The Doctor spitting out food, jokes about getting belled, a godawful version of the theme with the cotton wool time tunnel of terror as the titles... yeah, the episode really doesn't do it for me pretty much right from the word go. Then there's the weird blue lens flare

I miss the days of TVs with manual controls where you just twisted the dial for the volume and it didn't have numbers on
