This is awesome.

A lesser, weaker organisation would have cowed to this and tried to quietly remove DEI. (And likely been discovered and called out anyway)

Well done PSF.

(Context in a nutshell: Applied for US Government grant, would have involved removing DEI policies, withdrew grant)
TLDR; The PSF has made the decision to put our community and our shared diversity, equity, and inclusion values ahead of seeking $1.5M in new revenue. Please read and share. pyfound.blogspot.com/2025/10/NSF-...

I scored 80%
Fun little website we're happy to signal boost, where you need to determine if a headline is homophobia from the last century, or modern day transphobia. I (@melissa.green) scored 70%.

Check it out: haveigotphobiaforyou.com

Many thanks to @rormcgror.bsky.social for bringing this to our attention!
Going analogue for my trip to Vietnam. Unfortunately the light meter doesn't work so I'll be winging it a bit...

Listen to 🏳️‍⚧️ trans people.

84% said Britain is “fairly unsafe” or “very unsafe” for trans people in a YouGov poll commissioned by @goodlawproject.org.

49% said they found it difficult to access appropriate toilets when out in public.

This is a shameful human rights (and public health) emergency.
In @yougov.co.uk polling of the trans community, to the best of our knowledge the first of its kind ever conducted, an astonishing 84% said Britain is “fairly unsafe” or “very unsafe” for trans people.

Kage: "Kah-ge."
Cunk: "No, it says Cage here. So anyway, have there been any fossils found of these so-called furries?"
Kage: "Well no..."
Cunk: "So how do we know they actually exist? Could they not just be like, people wearing elaborate costumes and pretending to be a fox or a dog?"
Cunk: "So who are these 'furries' anyway? And what do they want? To answer those questions and more, I'm here with resident furry expert, Uncle Cage"
"It’s hard to believe I’m standing in the lobby where the first ever Midwest FurFest took place… because I’m not. That’s in Arlington Heights, which is miles away and hasn't been home to MFF since 2001."
Mad respect for Violent J.
Reminder that Violent J of Insane Clown Posse has the correct response to a lot of the shitty things he said in the early days.
As a Green Party member, you can influence policy decisions.

If everybody who said "I want to vote green but I don't like their stance on nuclear" joined the party and voted, they'd change their stance on nuclear.
I saw the opposite of this meme a couple of weeks ago where it was a trans furry saying "hi guys" and them saying "Fourier Transform!"

But I can't find it now :(

It cannot be made clearer.

If you continue to support the Harry Potter franchise in any way, you are directly funding the removal of trans people's human rights in the UK.
Same! I'm flying to Vietnam in 4 weeks! Plus two internal flights (Hanoi - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City).
I wouldn't mind if people were just clear about the context. I see so many posts that are like, "This is an outrage, everyone should be writing to their MP NOW!" but you have to click through 17 layers of quote tweets and read 52 reply threads to actually figure out what it's about.

Oh look, it's that easy. 🤷🏼‍♀️
Same! Spring and Summer are going out and doing things weather.

Winter is "stay inside and try desperately to keep warm without spending a fortune on heating bills" weather.
At night she would hop on to my bed, ask to come under the covers by pawing at them, and she'd curl up on my chest and tuck her head into my neck and purr.
I have no doubt in my mind how much Phoebe loved me. Made it so dam hard to say goodbye to her.
I'm not "digging" for empathy.

I'm simply calling you out for being a bully.

Mocking victims for being victims and asking for better treatment is abhorrent, shameful behaviour.

Your next comment will show us exactly what sort of person you are. Make it a good one.
No. You haven't made a point at all.

You've done nothing but shown a horrific lack of empathy.

You've put forward no ideas. No solutions. No contributions. Nothing.
Honestly... Accusing people who have fundamentally been proven to be victims of "playing the victim card" is as callous as it is pathetic.

I'm willing to bet trans people never had any credibility in your eyes from the start, because you've never once given it an ounce of critical thought.
