While that may be true, when we talk about 'bikes' it's easy for many people to forget about those who need to use non-standard cycles such as trikes, recumbents and tandems.

A report into a programme that provides bicycles and trikes for people with disabilities, run by children's charity Variety, shows that for every euro the Government invests, it delivers a five-euro return. The Recycle Mobility Programme has provided financial assistance for hundreds of specially adapted mobility bicycles and trikes for children with disabilities who cannot use conventional bicycles. Kevin O'Brien, head of operations at Variety - the Children's Charity of Ireland, told the Oireachtas Committee on Disability Matters that the programme it runs to provide accessible bicycles to people with disabilities is both lean in terms of operational costs and sustainable as it "saves bikes from going to landfill."

In Danish, 'cykler' can be 2 or 3 wheels. I have used the term 'brede cykler' (wide bikes) to denote anything with more than 2 wheels.
The width of modal filters is often too narrow.
-
And you are not even adressing the whole field between 'cargo bike' and 'van': There are even 5 wheelers out there!

IMPORTANT: The Dutch invest €595 million annually on urban biking, resulting in €19 BILLION saved in public health care costs alone. That’s how smart governments do the math on investing in better mobility.

I've yet to read an argument about "car addiction" that factors in the relevance of the fact that the continental United States covers 3.7 million square miles.

More generally, you need a high kerb or a strip of high grass between you and these monsters. Or ask yourself, is there actually any good reason that the bike path should follow the road?

Please note: the bicycles came first. The real 'disruptive technology' was the car, with its tendency to monopolize the roads.
Early film recordings from city streets (>100 years old) show mainly pedestrians, cyclists and trams, sharing the space in a soft chaos with a few horse wagons and cars.

Never reinforce a notion of conflict. The issue is not 'defeating' the individual motorist. (And you represent the weak minority.)
Show them stories about people in Paris, Amsterdam etc., laughing over the car brains and the cities where you are helpless without a car.
Edinger is a fine example.

But bikes ARE BEING USED for 'culture wars'.
