I do a lot of my drafting in google docs and then transfer sections to rpgmaker/twine/renpy. google docs is very easily accessible to me so I can write in it whenever

read an old short story about a guy that gets an evil magic artifact that gives him three cursed wishes. he wishes for 200 dollars and then his son dies and he gets a life insurance payout of 200 dollars... it was a real monkey's paw situation

I don't have an on-hand example from a 90s game but they did it a ton in astro boy the omega factor, here are enemies that are just normal enemies blown up 2x (and then warped and rotated)
