I think that one of the biggest conceptual roadblocks to more Ben Solo post TROS was that, although a good percentage of the audience wanted him back, there was this idea that Adam didn't want to play Ben anymore.
Now that this has been dashed by the man himself, the floodgates are open.

Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.

Exegol is on a vergence, probably connected to Ahch-To and potentially other force-rich places.
Just because he disappeared doesn't mean he died!
