"character casually reveals they are an expert on subject nobody thought they had even heard of" is such a delicious trope. yeah give that blorbo unexpected depths. force everyone else to reevaluate everything they think they know about them
I am sometimes uncharitable towards ffxiv's narrative but "you see, we voidsent celebrate halloween because it fuels our praise kink" is the kind of writing you simply won't find anywhere else
Drunk barfight, they hated each other's guts well into heavensward and did not commit to a proper relationship until late shadowbringers. slow burn my beloved
#Wolquestion | #WolQotd

What was your WoL's (Oc's) first impression of their future significant other? Was it love at first sight? Or did they perhaps have a wrong first impression?
Halloween is the greatest holiday because it's a free excuse to dress up your little guys

Lho'to frequently relived the fall of Dalamud and his own powerlessness in the face of overwhelming destruction. The Final Days were his worst nightmare come to life, but his ability to meaningfully affect their outcome let him process that trauma and he sleeps more peacefully now
#wolquestion / #wolqotd

How well does your wol / oc remember their dreams or nightmares? Have these ever become reality after they dreamt of it?
Like the literal, actual plot of Copperbell Mines is that a billionaire's mining company is paying you to murder slaves because they are violently resisting their captors. And the narrative says it's ok because they're not legally people!

It's all fucked but I don't think SE is ever going to change
You are correct on all counts but unfortunately I think this is just in FFXIV's DNA. They've always played with cultures and politics without really interrogating the implications of what they're creating, all the way back to ARR

Windows 10 End of Life is in less than 2 weeks!
But you don't have to upgrade to Windows 11!!

This video will show you how to extend the life of Windows 10 by 3 more years via Extended Security Updates program safely, for free.

MS throws you to the wolves, but the wolves will throw you a bone.
what an awful fucking timeline where you can look at George W Bush and be like "at least that guy had some class"
mount dropped in <10 clears and i rolled a 98. i should buy a lottery ticket
sometimes intimacy is just quietly washing dishes w/ ur SO
some people do not deserve to have fun. in fact they deserve to be put in The Contraption
Coming Soon (TM)

they've been teasing a housing overhaul since midway through the endwalker patch cycle
The theme of Lho'to's narrative arc is how revenge and racism will taint even the happy parts of your life until you let go and move on, but the fandom cancels him after he says Cid is "one of the good ones"
#wolqotd hypothetical.

Your OC becomes a canon character. What is their "problematic trait" that creates fandom discourse? This can be a genuinely problematic character trait or it can be something completely innocuous.
square enix saw hinako daigo and said "let's make an emote for her specifically"

this is just the plot of Fallen Hero: Rebirth
so calyx can recreate someone's fighting style using the memories of observers right. and plenty of the people wearing neo regulators saw us fighting in the arcadion right. imagine what could have been...
Khulan visited after a full day of PT once and made it to 19 before she had to tap out
#WolQOTD How many tacos could your WoL/OC absolutely demolish at the Tuliyolal Taco Stand?

Kaiyle could probably have about 11, maybe 13 if the hot sauce is extra spicy
wardrobe and hairstyle changes as shorthand for character growth might be a cliche, but I'll never get tired of it. Khulan and Lho'to have a new look every expansion
Lho'to is a member of the adventurer's guild in good standing. He'll provide sage advice as needed but mainly he's calling up still-active adventurers who already have experience and telling them to handle it
#wolqotd Years have passed since the events of XIV, maybe decades, and your WoL/OC is in retirement. A new threat rises, and a new generation of heroes come to them for guidance/assistance. How do they respond?
not sure why they keep releasing new gear honestly. jrpg fantasy armor simply does not get better than this. you can add more spikes and belts but that merely obscures the inability to improve upon perfection
Count Edmont and Ysayle are duskwights this is canon as far as i'm concerned
