You can also set up your disk drive so that you have a partition dedicated to running Linux while the other partition runs Windows. Lots of people do this. Idk how much of a tech head you are but it's worth looking into

ProtonDB also exists as a database where people share how good games run on their distro and hardware. I've had to do a lot of Google searches too though

it's like. running windows 7 on modern hardware to play modern games. there r some hurdles but it's mostly ok

I've had some pretty good luck! Steam's proton (Steam Deck uses its own Linux distro) makes it possible to run a lot of games and there are programs like lutris to get games running well. There are also distros designed specifically for running games :)

This made me think about the several times I had to explain to people that, no, I was not transitioning to female, because I've been so far along my transition to male it looked as though I was a trans woman that hadn't started her medical transition yet. I keep my identity under wraps to avoid this
