Jews for Jesus isn't Judaism, but for many reasons, no, absolutely not, the scenario you describe is not exclude someone from their Jewish ethnicity and culture. I don't think I could ever agree with this.

Although Triumph of the Will has no narrative voice it does open with a written text that heralds the rally as the redemptive culmination of German history. But this opening commentary is the least original of the ways in which the film is tendentious. Triumph of the Will represents an already achieved and radical transformation of reality: history become theater. In her book published in 1935, Riefenstahl had told the truth. The Nuremberg Rally “was planned not only as a spectacular mass meeting—but as a spectacular propaganda film…. The ceremonies and precise plans of the parades, marches, processions, the architecture of the halls and stadium were designed for the convenience of the cameras.” How the Party convention was staged was determined by the decision to produce Triumph of the Will. The event, instead of being an end in itself, served as the set of a film which was then to assume the character of an authentic documentary. Anyone who defends Riefenstahl’s films as documentaries, if documentary is to be distinguished from propaganda, is being ingenuous. In Triumph of the Will, the document (the image) is no longer simply the record of reality; “reality” has been constructed to serve the image.

I'm erring on not coding switching as much as possible and not going to share my strategy for otherwise, but I think a discerning reader would see my meaning.

I also get a lot of advice to not code switch, to be clear. It's just hard to know what line is appropriate when it's all contextual based on the individuals and you don't get to know who's playing by what rules.

I'm worried about getting job offers pulled by admin bc I mention how my transness informs my work. Bc they're afraid of state retribution for hiring me.

I get advice to code switch.

The farther I get from full disclosure, the less genuine it reads & becomes.

This is not a free and open society.

I was told not to teach a class on the intellectual histories of Zionism and Anti-Zionism next year - not because they doubted I could teach it fairly, but because it would attract too many politicians scrutinizing the syllabus.

A society where that is a valid fear is no longer fully democratic.

What concerns me is not that Democrats will compromise on something like trans athletes--that question is at SCOTUS now and thus beyond their reach anyway. What concerns me is that I hear far more about what rights of mine they're willing to sacrifice and very little about what rights they'll defend

Thank you! The animal tracking was done w SLEAP, I wrote the code to create the video from those data in MATLAB.

I don't have the code ready to share just yet but it will be online by the time the paper is published.

Most of the code for the work was written in MATLAB w some parts in python
