I can’t believe he’s doing this and the press still fell over themselves wondering why he didn’t win the Peace Prize. 😐

Are you referring to that article about him and his anti-Christ beliefs? I remember reading years ago that he 100% believes that when he dies he’ll just be frozen and reawakened later. I don’t get how anyone has viewed him as anything but a whack job! (Of course, I know it’s because of his money).

My favorite is places like The Atlantic claiming that the desire for the prize would make him into a good diplomat. People *really* do not understand how abusive people work. You can’t placate them; you can’t just inspire them to be good.

It’s hard to award the Nobel Peace Prize to a guy that maybe brokered a temporary peace deal after he ordered 500 tons of nutrient rich biscuits destroyed instead of saving the lives of desperate, starving babies.

Autumnal bouquet to celebrate getting my Covid booster. I usually feel pretty rundown from the boosters, so I’m re-reading The Melancholy of Resistance in honor of this morning’s Nobel prize announcement! 🎉 #booksky #gardensky

Can’t decide what to buy on Prime Day?

Try: absolutely nothing, and then go support indie bookstores instead 📚

I’m really sorry. Watching a pet’s decline is agonizing. 😔

Thanks!!! I dyed these over a year and the colors spoke to each other so well!

A Match and Move shawl with yarn I naturally dyed. I used avocado pits, black hollyhock, and tango cosmos I grew from seed. A labor of love, truly! #knitsky #shawlknitters #naturaldye 🧶
A “Match and Move” shawl with yarn I naturally dyed. The pink stripe was made with avocado; the gold was made with tango cosmos blossoms; and the gray was made with black hollyhock.

That’s so gorgeous!! I usually get beige wool when I dye with avocado; this is a way nicer shade.

Taught college English for many years, and I agree! It was getting to the point where my dept chair advised us to just let the kids who refused to read have time to do it in class, and I was like…this is the minimum expectation of being prepared and a waste of class time!
