To add on: being OK with height across the river but not OK at the current location has everything to do with the rotation and tilt of Earth in relation to the sun. Too many people are fine with their taxes being spent on foreign wars, genocide and ICE but not on feeding the hungry, housing the poor or helping the sick.

They will scream about their “tax dollars” helping someone buy a $1 soda, but won’t demand accountability for billions wasted on destruction.

Went to a prayer service tonight at St. Mary of the Lake, where they have cardboard cutouts throughout the church representing parishioners afraid to come to Mass because of ICE.
