Always to sunset
Going where the stars go

My breath the wind

This little boat my body
Its ragged sail my soul

This news is a tragedy for nature, and for all the people that rely on coral reefs.

But this report should also be a reminder of how much MORE we stand to lose if we don't act now. 🌳🌊🌍

We cannot afford to let the #ClimateCrisis escalate further.
Key climate tipping point is BREACHED for the first time
With global warming on track to climb past 1.5°C (2.7°F), scientists say that warm water coral reefs are now passing their thermal tipping point.

The incomparable #PattiSmith performing in London on 50th anniversary of Horses tour.
I first saw her in Manchester in 1978 - she has lost none of her power!
Great to be with such an enthusiastic audience too.

This looks good.

‘The enforced invisibility of a class of economic migrants who are now so numerous that many game the system, doubling their exploitation. Sangaré’s exemplary, unfeigned performance helps them speak.’

Just watched the first episode of #RiotWomen by #SallyWainwright. Such a powerful, funny, moving drama about the complexities of older women’s lives.
Some amazing actors, including Jonnna Scanlon, Tamsin Grieg, Lorraine Ashbourne, Anne Reid and many others.
Brilliant!

The late flowering purple asters in the walled garden at #ParhamHouse in West Sussex are very popular with insects.
Such a gorgeous garden.

Beautifully camouflaged and slightly blurred but definitely a willow warbler.
There were 2 flitting about in the birch trees (so fast and acrobatic!)
I thought they’d already gone so it was lovely to see them.

Really enjoyed listening to this interview with @wanderinggaia.bsky.social
She talks with great clarity about the underlying causes of climate migration, how the #climatecrisis is affecting our world and the inevitable shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy.

It’s #bookshopday and I met the amazing #MonicaFeria-Tinta at The Sussex Bookshop, talking about her book Barrister for the Earth.
Inspiring listening to hear her talk about acting for the rights of nature, including for rivers and chalk streams here in the UK.

The sea was perfectly still today and merging tonally with the sky, there was just a faint hint of turquoise in the water.

There are rumours that some in Westminster want to remove the Protected Landscapes duty, the only real power to secure action for nature. We can't let 30 years of campaigning for National Parks go down the drain ⚠️Write to your MP👇

Just extraordinary to witness this nature-hating government sabotaging Labour’s own legacy. And for absolutely no reason: nature protection isn’t blocking development - it’s a necessary prerequisite for it (& for everything else, come to that…)
Plans to weaken protections for national parks will have ‘disastrous consequences’ say green groups
