They’re moving people as far as possible from their support networks, lawyers and family. It creates trauma. It also creates jurisdictional battles between the government and attorneys representing those who are detained.

NEW — I dug into the story of ICE abducting a 13-year-old boy in Massachusetts and moving him 500 miles across state lines without notifying his mother, local cop's complicity, and how the federal government's justification for such cruelty is already falling apart:

ICE took a 13-year-old they said had a gun. Local cops say he didn’t.

Now he's detained 500 miles away from his Massachusetts home.

And we have a NASA facility! Marshall Space Flight Center. Huntsville has the most PhDs per capita in the US but it’s surrounded by the *rest* of Alabama and southern Tennessee. This all started with Moms 4 Liberty. They also got a trans space camp counselor fired.

It’s all from YouTube! All of the insane things my family thinks have come directly from morons and “journalists” on YouTube. Sometimes I wish I would have stayed with journalism in college so I could tell them how much those people they put so much faith in aren’t journalists.

I have a family member (who used to DO mammograms) who has advised all of the women in our family to not get mammograms because “they cause cancer.” Thanks but…no thanks.

I have homeschoolers in my family and yes, that’s a big reason. They wanted to control which people their kids were around. Which turned out to be just their own family…and the kids at church.

Assaulting women with musical instruments makes them feel like real men.

While playing Ghostbusters with a band dressed as bananas, at what was a peaceful protest yesterday in front of the ICE detention facility, a swarm of federal officers charged into the band, and pounced on top of our clarinet player, and arrested her and damaged her clarinet. She is a mother of a 3 year old who is still without their mother because they're considering Assault charges against her! They also knocked over our drummer, bashing in his face, requiring 4 stitches in his lip. Then they teargassed all of us!
Everything leading up to this point was peaceful and joyous. More than 1000 naked people rode through on bikes while frogs and squids and grannies were dancing around us. They are the thugs. They are the ones being violent. They are the ones breaking the law. We are not deterred. See you at No Kings!
