I'm not usually one to dunk on regional foods because to each their own, but *British food* is absolutely the worst part about the food in Britain. Like, every time I've been, the only food I can even think of eating there is the decidedly non-British stuff. lolol
The British Right are just in total freefall into savagery at this point

exactly. and yet people keep insisting that folks can change a lot in ten years, but the man was *29!!!!* when he posted all of this shit. your viewpoint in the world is set in stone by then. this dude was not some teenager being taunted into edgelord behavior online!
"a lot of folks looking for a working class coded daddy to save them."

this is exactly why I keep begging more folks to listen to us red state Dems because these are exactly the types we have generations of experience with, and we are not lying to you when we say it's virtually always a sham.

I think because people correctly understand that there's always an aesthetic element to politics, they let themselves off the hook when they obviously support a given candidate for primarily aesthetic reasons.
I somehow didn't know that Bill Paxton also directed it until a couple months ago. It's definitely one of his best performances.
when you put it all together, there's a picture of a man emerging that a lot of us know & have been around. it's becoming abundantly clear to me (and obviously lots of others) that this dude does NOT have the temperament for the job, yet too many folks are already too staked into him emotionally.
also, I just found out that the Reddit comments about black customers & women being raped were posted *WHILE HE WAS A BARTENDER*, which takes this into another fucking universe of awfulness. absolutely irredeemable behavior; he needs to drop out.
oh my dear lord, I was not aware of this, and this immediately makes this 10x worse. he was posting these things *while in the service industry*??? this is definitely 'gtfo of this race, asshole' territory for me. y'all want a young progressive, find yourself one that ain't a piece of shit.
The fact that he said that while working as a bartender adds another level of awful to it.

10000% true. the leftward flank of this site would be having the biggest meltdown of all time if this happened.
If a candidate endorsed by Elizabeth Warren had gotten caught posting about how black people don't tip at restaurants their'd be immediate demands for them to step down and page long screeds about how this shows the moral degeneracy of liberals

It was right to ban those accounts, and it would also be right to ban a bunch of these government accounts. DHS does not have a right to a Bluesky account. Neither does the State Dept, or any other govt agency.

And they're making these accounts for the overt purpose of wrecking the site.
Also, ayo @jay.bsky.team and the BlueSky team, if you’re gonna permaban Link and Palestinian aid accounts, it’s not a good look if you also don’t ban government accounts engaged in obvious violations of the Hatch Act, which is an actual federal law.
oh yeah for sure, and there will be zero way to guarantee her safety if & when it happens. no way in hell she's going to be safe from some form of mob justice if she's let out early, absent another country offering to give her safe harbor (which I have a really difficult time imagining).
I think everyone needs to start girding themselves for a pardon or commutation or Ghislaine Maxwell. I don't think it's guaranteed at this point, but his willingness to completely flout the law in such a way is obviously accelerating. This possibility is growing by the week.

THE TWO MARKETS ARE VERY DISTINCT AND WILL NOT MEANINGFULLY IMPACT EACH OTHER DIRECTLY

THE ONLY THING THEY HAVE IN COMMON IS SUPPLY CONSTRAINTS, BUT THE DEMAND FOR HOUSING WILL NOT GO AWAY REGARDLESS OF BROADER MARKET CONDITIONS

NOW BACK TO CLOSING BELL

I am someone who has worked within a close capacity with MANY ex security contractors a la Blackwater, and they are all bad hombres, every. single. one. There are zero exceptions to this. Believe me when I say all those companies all practically screen *to make sure* they only hire psychos.
I posted this yesterday, and I will emphasize it again: there is NO SUCH THING as a good man who willingly signs up to work for a Blackwater-like security contractor; whatever you've heard about some firms being "better" and hiring more discerning folks, it's all propaganda. They're ALL bad dudes!
ngl tho, I've worked around enough of those guys in a couple of different rules to be able to say that one of my iron clad personal rules is that THAT is a disqualifier, full stop, no questions asked. there's no such thing as a good man that goes into that line of work.
big corporate actors & security firms keep their own watchlists for malicious actors, and I'd bet he was on probably every single one of them. they are extremely public with their criming on Telegram and other chat services. *very* good chance that he's been banned from a lot of big services.
oh, the RUSSIAN? of course it was him. I should've assumed lol. *extremely* high probability his devices were/are compromised by actors from within that group.
they pretty much exclusively recruit teen boys here in the US but also the UK & other Western countries to do most of their footwork because they're extremely dumb, extremely impressionable, extremely bored, and sometimes extremely skilled at the crimes they want accomplished.
which one? I don't remember reading that anywhere, but that's a pretty alarming thing to hear. it means there's a VERY high chance he was already coopted by an actor with some kind of connection to hostile foreign intelligence services because several states have their hands all over the Com.
I've got a younger chat buddy who lives in one of the most "gay friendly" countries in the EU with regards to the laws protecting LGBT folks, but he's absolutely terrified to walk out his front door in the biggest city in the country in a way that young gay men aren't here. the homophobia is INTENSE
yeah, I've also had to explain to many of my gay friends before they've travelled there that their legal protections for LGBT folks, which often predate ours by decades!, pretty commonly only exist as a technicality and that *social acceptance* of LGBTs is still lagging the US by decades
like yeah, MOST—but not all!—European countries have some form of universal healthcare that is easy to access (tho the tax rates are often astonishingly high), but the people engaging in this discourse would be floored to hear normie Euro rhetoric on immigration & LGBT rights! it's bad, you guys!
this is why the 'Dems are center-right in Europe' discourse has always been so laughably dumb to me. like, you people DO know that several of us have been to Europe for work, for pleasure, that we have friends from there, that we have actually talked to normie Europeans while traveling, right??
People in America do not understand that normie Europeans talking about the dangers of woke or immigrants love to use the US Dems as an example of "bleeding heart liberalism gone too far".

This is what Biden's tenure was about, here.

The Dems are not "center-right" in Europe.
