Want to add: it's okay to enjoy media not in the way the author intended.

Once the author puts their work out there, a part of it (how it made you FEEL) is YOURS. I doesn't mean is the author's or anyone else's, and that's OKAY. Author-canon is important for analytics but not for your enjoyment.

If possible, do not bring your real phone. Write at least one phone number on your body in sweat-proof sharpie in case you get kettled and need to call someone.

Wear a mask, if you're going to be crowded in with people.

Wear the most common and nondescript clothing you can.

Ngl, I'm really relieved I haven't had sponsorship offers yet even if it means less money, because it seems like a lot of the "big" YT sponsors have shady stuff going on or aren't that good of a deal for consumers.

I'd feel very anxious and need to research to know what's worth accepting.
