I have a slightly different theory.

FACT: Average gamer will not pay full price for back catalogue games.

FACT: Back cats are full of excellent games that compete w/ modern AAA experiences.

Therefore: Pubs can't charge full price for back catalogue games but shouldn't sell them cheap either.

Folks are rightfully shitting on Capcom for the Resident Evil GOG stuff, about how they didn't want to re-release the old games because the new ones exist or whatever, but almost every major publisher, Japanese or not, believes the same thing.

i don't feel like magic set surveys usually have this question and i don't appreciate the implication that content creators, who do so so much for the game, are possibly to blame for a bad set's poor performance. 👎

Hey peoples. I'm asking for help, hopefully for the last time for a bit.

I should be getting a decent paycheque on Friday, but we're basically out of food. We already used the Food Bank about a week and a half ago, so it's too soon to revisit.

The novelisation is a missed opportunity and a lost art form, poached from us by capitalists.

We still know the stories of Robin Hood and King Arthur because of novelisations. Peter Pan & Hitchhiker were novelisations. They should be a thing all writers can enjoy doing, knowing it's a real art form

Since it resonated with the audience, I’ll recap my main argument against AGI here. ‘General intelligence’ is like phlogiston, or the aether. It’s an outmoded scientific concept that does not refer to anything real. Any explanatory work it did can be done better by a richer scientific frame. 1/3
