one of the more unique mechanics in the first witcher is the ability to score sexy jpegs of women you have sex with. this was, unbelievably, not brought back for the sequels. i can't imagine why.

the camera does need work though, it clips and jitters far too much for a game like this.

also - i can't believe i'm saying this - i actually expected bubsy to talk *more*. he only had an occasional line which is a shame, he's enjoyably silly here instead of grating my ears off like 3D.

flinging a middle-aged gremlin man cat around in a schmoovement platformer is the most genuinely fun bubsy's ever been. by his standards, this is fantastic. in general, it's pretty good! funny, looks great, controls decently (if a bit loose) with loads of moves. they even brought the pounce back.

The entire team has packed up and made a new fork of Gzdoom.

i also love the original robocop film. i'm not expecting the game to even come close to verhoeven's incisive commentary but so far, it's a loving homage if nothing else.

instead of ping-ponging around the room as a glass cannon against unique enemy types, robocop - fittingly - has you slowly stomping around as a giant health bar fighting swarms of weak, similar enemies.

warhammer boltgun also attempted this, though i heavily disliked its level design.

ive had my eye on this game. one, it's developed by teyon, a scrappy license-grabbing team that managed to pull together a decent terminator game a few years back

and two, robocop is heralded as a new strain of FPS dubbed the "tank" shooter, a sort of response to the increasing speed of retro FPSes

robocop went for the price of a coffee on GOG so im giving it a look. i appreciate that in between all the incredibly violent shooting you can just, issue parking tickets. it's very funny.
