With Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman & more - even the Joker - after three decades I'm back in Metropolis and Gotham City in November with KINGDOM COME by Mark Waid and Alex Ross, a fully cast, cinematic audio drama from DC and Penguin Random House Audio, with music by my SANDMAN pal James Hannigan.

Apparently, they don’t hand out a Nobel Peace Prize to those who negotiated a ceasefire they had sabotaged a year ago just to get elected.

Diversity is our strength, no matter what racist, bigoted Republicans say.

Real Americans embrace diversity, equity and inclusion.

Real Americans reject Trump and his white nationalist cronies.

Trump is bad, project 2025 is bad and the people who love America, the real patriots reject both.

You’re going to love Glenn Wrage as Batman. A worthy successor to the late and much loved Bob Sessions.

I promise it’s as long as we could make it while staying true to the original. And Lorelei is brilliant as ever.

The new audio version runs 3hrs 15mins approx - not sure how the eight hour running time got into the pre-advertising for our new version, which I hope you’ll enjoy.

Yes though I think Spike (who else?) broke the mould before anyone else did with the Q Series, starting in the late 60s.

Interesting that late in the 70s tv shows like Dads Army could without major re-engineering transfer scripts back to Radio. I wasn’t a fan of that happening but it confirms how much 50s-70s radio sitcom plot structure worked perfectly well in the visual medium as BBC TV Comedy Dept approached it.

Gosh that’s a question. Off top head I think of Galton and Simpson’s work with Tony Hancock starting on Radio and then, with an overlap,on television, which in its early series often just added pictures to the existing set up (Railway Cuttings East Cheam). Arguably that set a template for TV sitcom.

The death of multi-camera TV: a thread. I know most of you will know the technical parts of this (and may have read it in the other place) but bear with me. 1/ 🧵
